A Couple Layouts to Share

Here's one of the layouts I did at Sue's Rosemary Heights Retreat last weekend. I love this My Mind's Eye line, Follow Your Heart. It's simply gorgeous!
And here's one I did a couple weeks ago using some of Cosmo Cricket's new line, Tea for Two. I had fun making my own banner with the bright pretty papers and a doiley that I had on hand.
Thanks for stopping by!

Rosemary Heights Retreat

What a super fun weekend I just had up at Rosemary Heights Retreat with my scrapbooking buddies! We scrapped, we laughed, we ate, we drank, we had massages, we went on some beautiful walks around the grounds and took lots of photos. We didn't sleep much but I had such a fabulous weekend and can't wait to go back in November! Sue, you put on an wonderful retreat!

Here are a few of my favourite photos from our weekend. We missed you Diane! Thanks for the great time girls! Love you all!

Some Project Life to Share

I've been having so much fun working on my Project Life! I'm doing mine a little different as I already have a running blog for my Project 365 as most of you know for the year 2012 so what I've decided to do is to make this Project Life album truly a Project Life as in, I am starting from when I was born and working my way through to the present day, documenting along the way, all the big moments in my life. I am loving how it is turning out but it is a HUGE undertaking but will be well worth it! It's fun to dig through my old photos. A lot are digital but there are a lot that I have to scan as well which takes time.

It's a work in progress and I'm loving it! I bought Becky Higgins' Amber PL kit and have found loads of digital images online. It sure is popular in the scrapbooking community these days! It's never ending and there's just so much eye candy out there to play with!

Project Life and Playgirl??? Say What?!

How do these two go together you might wonder? Well....did I ever have a laugh today!! I was working on my Project Life album and since I'm doing it as a whole Life album and not of just the year, I've been digging through old photos since I was a baby to the current day and am scrapping the "big moments" in my life in this one album. Today, while working on my 2 page wedding spread layout, I needed to find one little bit of memorabilia to put into one of the 2x3 pockets and then I remembered that I had a box in my studio cupboard with all sorts of momentos from the big day in it.

So....I pull it down and, yep, that's the one, I see...Wedding Planner for the Organized and Relaxed Bride, invitations, RSPV notes, guest book etc. As I dig through, on the very bottom of the box, what do I find? OMG! Don't even ask why? I have no idea! But there it was, staring right up at me!
Ha ha ha!! Ok, so a little background, a lot of people told me that my darling hubby looked like Brad Pitt when he was younger. I of course had a HUGE crush on Brad Pitt at the time and my husband too for that matter lol. I'm thinking, and only guessing, that some crazy girlfriend gave this to me. I certainly would never run out and buy such a magazine! HA! Lord only knows why I would decide to hide it or store it in my box of wedding memorabilia! Of all places! LOL Notice the date on the top right of the magazine...
Yep! 1997! What a riot! This has got to be a collectors item and worth something! One thing I know for sure....men should not pose nude! lol I think I need to do a little hidden journalling spot in my Project Life album that tells this story! Don't you?
