Save The Date - September 26th...

The stamp set I used for this card is a retired set from last year's Stampin Up! cattie called God's Beauty. I wanted to play around with my Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant and thought this stamp set would work perfectly. I now have to buy a whole package of Elegant Eggplant! lol Old Olive has always been one of my favourites but this combination is gorgeous IRL.

I've also been doing a little brainstorming for a Make and Take for Sue D's Crop/Fundraiser she is planning on September 26th. I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do. I was just playing around last night and made these. I saw this cute little lamb punch on Angie Kennedy's blog and decided to make mine into little clothespin magnets for your fridge or file cabinet. It's amazing how many cute little animals you can make out of our Stampin Up! punches! I'm definitely planning on making more for some of Emily's friends. They make great little bookmarks too! I'll also be teaching a class and have a few ideas planned already. Sue D. is working on the new blog for this exciting Crop and I will post the details as soon as she has it all set up. Diane from Get Creative Scrapbooking will also be teaching a class along with Sue D. and me. Hope you'll consider joining us for what's sure to be a really fun day! Stay tuned for more details...

Happy Birthday Sue C!

Last night I spent a wonderful evening with my Scrapaholic friends over at Izzy's celebrating our dear friend Sue C's birthday. Izzy put on a lovely spread and we watched the fireworks together. We all had our cameras out and tried to capture the beautiful display. Here's the photos from our evening together. Thanks so much Izzy for a wonderful evening and for the extra little treats! Happy Birthday Sue! Wishing you all the best, today and always!

A Couple Unconventional Hallowe'en Layouts

Even though these Basic Grey papers were not your traditional style Fall/Hallowe'en type papers, I thought they worked pretty good. I even managed to use up some of my old Hallowe'en stash embellies. Thanks for stopping by.

Altered Notebook and Matching Lunchbox

Carrie's and Hayle's Christmas in July posts on their blogs got me humming Christmas carols yesterday and I was inspired to make a little altered notebook to keep track of who to send Christmas cards to. I have got to get some more of these litte note books from Michaels as they are so easy to recover. I then decided to make a little matching card holder to keep our Christmas cards in. I used my Stampin Up! Christmas DSP and my Deer Friends stamp set. I'm thinking I might make some of these sets for Christmas gifts. Thanks for stopping by :)

The Girl's ATCs

I promised to upload the 4 ATCs that my daughter and her friend made the other day so here they are. Last summer they each made one for me too, that's why there are six. Aren't they creative?! Thanks for stopping by :)

Tagged

My friend Carrie tagged me and this is what I'm suppose to do:

1. Collect the book that you have most handy
2. Turn to page 161
3. Find the 5th complete sentence
4. Cite the sentence on your blog
5. Pass it on to 5 other victims (Oops! bloggers)

Here's my sentence:

"Don't know, kid," he said, turning down the tunes. "See-I think that's my line here."

It's from Prince of Thieves by Chuck Hogan. A juicy read! A thriller about a bank manager who is taken hostage during a robbery and then released but Doug MacRay, the brains behind the heist can't get her out of his mind and tracks her down without his mask and gun and introduces himself. As soon as they meet, their mutual attraction is undeniable as are the risks of a relationship.

I'm tagging Hayley, Sue C, Gabriella, Jadranka and Sue D.

Watcha readin girls?

ATC Box

I loveeeeee Olive Vine Glimmer Mist! I picked up this cute little container at Michaels the other day to hold my ATCs in and decided I wanted it to match the box I designed to hold my Prisma coloured pencils in.

The girls got involved when they saw me playing with my Glimmer Mist and made 4 ATCs for me too! Wooo hooo! I'll take a photo of their creations and share them with you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by :)

Mini Chipboard Album

I was inspired by an adorable little camera chipboard album that I saw at POTP on the weekend and used their die cutting machine to cut out a couple camera and a cute little suitcase. Once again, my friend Jo inspired me to look outside the box and so today I designed my own little mini suitcase chipboard album of my mom and dad's cruise to Alaska. I started making it this morning and finished it just before dinner with a few interruptions. I left a few little journalling cards for dad to jot down some notes and then dropped it off this evening as a little surprise for them. I am now dying to make more of these adorable little albums! They are so much fun! Thanks for stopping by.

I've Been Busy Playing Again...

This is what happens when you raid your kid's craft supplies. Felt and Fimo, look out! I have plans for you! I have been perusing through etsy and have been inspired by all the adorable hand crafted embellishments for our layouts and thought I'd give it a try and see what I could come up with. First I played with Fimo. Trying to find some that had not been smushed together with other colours by my daughter was a real challenge, but I manage to squeak out a few cute little buttons. Hubby's itsy bitsy cookie cutters for his culinary displays came in super handy too!

I was much happier with this second batch. The second photo is of the first batch.

Then I felt like sewing and pulled out my Big Shot and played with some felt and came up with these:

Kerry also makes these adorable little Christmas ornaments made from coasters for her craft fairs. I used my Stampin Up DSP for these ones:

And of course I had to do a layout so I finished this one I started at Sunday's crop. Thanks Jo and Hayley for your advice. I'm happy with how it turned out :)

Well, that's all folks. Today I think I'm going to try Ally's latest sketch over at So Sketchy. Thanks for stoppin by!
