Timberline Retreat Scrappin

Once again, my friend Diane, put on a fabulous weekend retreat up at Timberline Ranch. I've already started my count down for the next one. Several of us Scrapaholics attended and we had such a great time! I stayed up till 4:30 am scrappin both Friday and Saturday night. Sue F and Iris kept me company and I'm impressed with their stamina lol Thanks so much for a super fun time Diane. I really had a blast! Here are a few of the layouts I completed while I was there. Thanks for stopping by!

Kreative Blogger Award

What a surprise I got when I came home today. Debby left this lovely award for me. Thanks so much Debby! You're very sweet!!!

Once the award is accepted, the nominee has to do the following:

• Thank the sender for nominating you.

• Make sure you link to the person who nominated you.

• Copy the logo onto your blog

• List seven interesting things about yourself.

• Nominate Seven Kreative Bloggers

• Post links to their Blogs

• Leave a comment for each letting them know of their nomination.

Okay so 7 interesting things about lil 'ole me. Let's see...

1 - My daughter was born on my wedding anniversary.

2 - I had a cat named Saucer when I grew up and her mother's name was Teacup.

3 - I learned to swim and ski when I was 2.

4 - I love a good coffee in the morning and a hot cup of tea at night.

5 - I lived in Montreal until I was 6.

6 - I have been doing Project 365 this year and have taken a photograph for every single day to date and have been posting them on my 365 blog. I wasn't sure if I would be able to do it, but I'm pleased I've stuck with it and can't wait to put my album together next year!

7 - Before scrapbooking I think I tried every craft out there but each one only lasted a season. I've been scrapbooking for the past 12 years.

Here are 7 of my favourite creative bloggers. Be sure to check them out!

Bright and Cheery Christmas Card

I love using unconventional colours at Christmas time. For this one I used my Copics and Stampin Up! DSP and Bashful Blue CS with the cutest little Elzybells stamp. Thanks for looking.

Christmas Tag

I have been going stir crazy being in bed and having so little energy that today I just had to try to at least do a little crafting so I came up with my prototype for my girlfriend's Christmas tags. She runs her own business and wants to give out a little bag of cookies to all her customers and asked if I could design a little tag to attach to her packages. She will then just have to add her contact information on the back of the tag. These were super easy to make and I find the colouring quite relaxing. I'm using my copics and all Stampin Up products. One down, only 74 more to go...

Update...

I've adopted Hammy's Sister Hazel who will live on my sidebar. Carrie's girls liked Hammy so much that they didn't want mom to leave lol Have no fear girls, when Hammy moves to the basement of my blog, his sister Hazel will stay right on top for you girls to come visit whenever you like. Just make sure you don't feed her too much and if you do, be sure to give her a good work out on her wheel! Hazel is pretty excited to meet you all!

Oh! And one more thing, don't let Hazel out of her cage as Sooty, my black cat, just might get her!

Meet Hammy the Hamster

Meet Hammy. Hammy is my new hamster. Hammy loves to run on his wheel. Click the yellow dot to make Hammy run. Click anywhere else in Hammy's cage to feed him his food. I love Hammy!

For My Blogging Buddies...

So what does one do when they are home with the flu? Sleep and sleep some more, and then some more. And when they can sit up for more than 10 minutes without getting an awful headache? Blog. And.....guess what I discovered while updating my blog today?! You bloggin gals who have been frustrated with how Blogger uploads your photos will LOVE this! If you go into "Settings", you will see down at the bottom, hiding from all of us, is a nifty little feature called "Select Post Editor" under "Global Settings". Blogger is set to default to "Old Editor". Change this to "Updated Editor" You will notice a HUGE difference! Posting just got WAY easier! You can upload and organize your photos and see everything WYSIWYG style before posting. No more posting and then going back to edit! And, I love the new tool bar! Full justification....finally!  I LOVE it! Check it out and let me know what you think. Hope you enjoyed this little tip.

A Day of Remembrance

Please take a moment today to remember our fallen heroes. I will.

Blog Award

I received this wonderful award from my friend Carrie. Thanks so much girlfriend! It couldn't have come at a better time as I am in bed with the flu and feeling yucky. You brightened my day :)

This award is bestowed onto blogs that are exceedingly charming. These bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes cut, even more friendships are propagated.

Please give more attention to these writers.

Deliver this award to six bloggers, who must choose six more and include this cleverly written text in the body of their award.

I follow these blogs and perhaps it's time to let these super talented ladies know how much I love visiting their blogs and oogle over all their amazing creations. So to all you scrappy ladies, I bestow this award on you. Thank you for inspiring me.
