Decisions, Decsions...

I am having to make a VERY difficult decision by 11 am tomorrow morning. I am thinking of transferring to a new job and am faced with giving up the comforts and familiarity of working in the same place for the past 16 years and loving my job and venturing into something new. Change can be good but it can be also very intimidating. I am truly torn by this decision and what I should do. Without going into any personal details, there are definitely some pros and cons in leaving where I am now and going to where I am considering. It's a particularly hard decision because I love working with some of the people I work with now yet a change might be a good thing too and pose new and exciting challenges. My head literally hurts from trying to decide what to do. I don't want to have any regrets, but at the same time don't want to miss what may be a great opportunity.

Stampin Up Flip Book

We made this adorable little album with the Petal Party Stampin Up! scrapbook kit at Sue's Stamp Club. I can't wait to make a little Christmas album with my I Wish kit for Christmas gifts this year. With one kit you can make at least 4 little albums! This particular album is for "Things I've Made".

2 More Layouts & Another Use for my Copics

This has been a great long weekend! I've been able to scrap for two nights in a row and managed to get a couple more layouts done and finish off my swaps for the Scrapaholics. Last night I thought I'd try out my Copics on some shiny white chipboard Thickers and was delighted with the results. I didn't have green so I made my own!

ATC Swap

I finished my ATC Swap for the Scrapaholics today. I enjoyed working on these out on my patio in the sunshine and the cool breeze today. It's amazing how many techniques one can use on such a small canvas. I really went to town lol. I used one of my favourite SU stamp sets Garden Collage, Prisma colouring pencils, Twinkling H2Os, Ranger inks, Glimmer Mist, super fine glitter and Versafine. I love collecting these Artist Trading Cards! If anyone who is not in the swap would like to trade, please let me know! Sue F and Carrie.....I'd love to trade with both of you. I've got a couple already with your names on them ;o) Thanks for stopping by. I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather and having a great long weekend!

A Box To Hold My Prisma Colouring Pencils

The plastic case just wouldn't do, so I found this cute wooden box at Michaels and used some Olive Vine Glimmer Mist on it and then added some Prima flowers, rick rack and painted a chipboard bird to embellish it. It now brightens my desk and looks a whole lot better than plastic!

Friday Night Scrap

Hayley, Carrie, Susan R. and Sue F. and I met on Google Chat and scrapped tonight. I started out doing a different LO and then we got talking about these wild and crazy Tiara Thickers that came in a Kit that a few of us had purchased and suddenly I was inspired to incorporate them with my new Basic Grey Ricky Lime collection so I dug out some old retro photos and this is what I came up with. It was fun!

Mom's Card

I made this card for mom with my Elzybells and SU DSP (Candy Lane), Riding Hood Red cardstock and ribbon.

Mother's Day Dinner for us Moms

DH and our neighbour Joe cooked up a delicious dinner for Mother's Day. My friend Chloe and I sat back and enjoyed being pampered by the boys. Family, good friends, good food and good wine make for a wonderful Mother's Day in my books!

Mother's Day with Mom

DH took some great photos of mom and me. I can't wait to do a LO with them. We had a really nice visit together. Loved how these photos turned out. Notice how I had DH shooting from up on a chair? lol

I'm looking forward to a relaxing day "getting my create on" as Hayley would say. DH is heading down to Fisherman's Warf with our neighbour to pick up some fresh prawns fresh off the boat and then they are coming back to BBQ up a fabulous meal for the moms. Can't wait! My LO for today is a QP from Weeds and Wildflowers. Love their stuff! Have yourself a great day everyone!

Pretty in Pink

Here's a perfect example of how easy it is to make a beautifully coordinated card with Stampin Up! products. Pretty in Pink is one of my favourite colours. Here I used the Spring Fling DSP with Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery cardstock. The stamp is from the Darling Dots set hostess gift from the Spring/Summer 2009 cattie. I used my two scallop punches along with my ticket and circle punches. My Martha Stewart butterfly punch is another one of my favourites. I use it a lot! It makes the perfect accent. A little bling coloured with my Copic marker to match my Certainly Celery cardstock and voila. Thanks for stopping by!

I Have an Announcement...

It's official! I signed on today to become an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I really love Stampin' Up! products and have been attending my Upline Sue's Stamp Club for over a year now. In that time I've collected a lot of this product and with each new catalogue that comes out I think it's better than the last! Their rich colour families, designer series papers, cardstock, embellishments and of course their beautiful quality rubber stamps make designing your own handmade cards and projects a snap! Everything coordinates so beautifully! I'm really looking forward to building my customer base and hope you will be in touch. Please email me if you would like to place an order or host a party. To celebrate, I'm offering free shipping on your first order with me. I will even deliver your products right to your door as long as you reside in the lower mainland. I will be posting some of the latest projects we made at Stamp Club soon, so stay tuned! Hope to hear from you! Thanks for stopping by!

Challenge #20 - My Take Challenge

The title and theme in Challenge #20 was what inspired me to create this layout. I'm not sure how much, if any scrapping I'll get done today as I have Stamp Club at 2 pm and my folks for dinner tonight and a messy house since I've been scrapping all weekend lol. Maybe I'll be able to squeeze in one more layout before I go to bed though.

Challenges #20 and #16

Glitter, Glam, Gorgeous and Stamping Background Paper. All in all, I created 4 LOs today. I'm a slow scrapper! lol

Another Challenge Completed....

Here's the LO I did for Challenge #22 based on a sketch by Nicole. I'm off to try Challenge #16 - stamping background paper. I think I better put the coffee on! It's going to be a late night!
