More Peel Offs

On this card I used a black outline sticker Peel Off. My friend Gabi asked where I got them. I found mine in my local stamp store but I'm not sure how hard they are to find in other parts. Here is the link to the company that produces them Magenta Peel Offs Follow the "What's New?" link and then at the bottom "New Peel Offs". There are so many adorable ones to choose from! Happy scrappin!

Peel Offs

I've been playing with my "Peel Offs", Spica pens and aqua painter brush. Gelly Rolls will work too. They blend really well and the sparkle is so pretty! I made this card this afternoon. Thanks for stopping by!

Am I excited? Ummmmm YAAA!

OMG! How lucky am I?! The staff presented me with these gift certificates on Friday and I could not have asked for a better parting gift! I also received a GC to Liberty Wine Merchants. I think I will be doing some serious scrapbooking this summer and will no doubt have a nice chilled glass of Chardonnay at my side! Thank you so much! I'll miss you all so very much!

Christmas in "almost" July

I wanted to try out a new template to package treats in and decided to use some of my SU Christmas DSP. Only one more week before I'm on holidays and I am planning on doing some serious scrapping and paper crafting all summer! My first Stampin Up! order as a demonstrator should be here by July 7th so I'll have lots of new goodies to play with! For everyone who placed an order with me, thank you! I'll get your orders to you as soon as they arrive.

Kat's Kreative Blog Award

I love to dabble in a bit of everything kreative. Today I played with a little paper quilling and thought to myself, this would make a really cute little Blog Award lol. Why not? I see them all the time. I've been honoured to have a few bestowed on me, why can't I make my own? Well today, I was inspired to do so by my friend Carrie who just created her own blog. Yeah Carrie! You have to check it out! She does some amazing layouts and is one very talented chicka! You can find her blog here. So....this award was made especially for you girlfriend. The rules? Nominate 8 other Kreative women you know, who have Killer blogs and pass on this award. When you do, the only rules are that you have to list your top 3 reasons why you love to scrapbook and your top 3 personality traits that make a good friend. Have fun!

I'm passing this award on to these Kreative women, my good friends:
Carrie, Izzy, Jo, Diane, Hayley, Sue F, Sue C and Gabriela

Top 3 Reasons I Scrapbook:
1. It makes me feel free and allows me to express my creative side.
2. All of my family's memories are preserved for generations to come.
3. It's lots of fun and I've met some amazing women who share the same passion!

Top 3 Personality Traits that make a Good Friend:
1. Trustworthy
2. Nonjudgmental
3. A great sense of humour.

A Super Easy & Quick Father's Day Album

I was down at my friend Rae's stamp store I'm Impressed in Granville Island the other day and ran into my very first Stampin Up demo, Eleanor. She's put together some kits for Father's Day that are so adorable! I printed out my photos in sepia and added some Prima flowers and a few other embellishments. Now that I have the dimensions I can see myself making a lot more of these in different themes to give away as gifts. The cardstock is all one piece. I'm thinking Opus?? A new use for poster board for sure!

Cupcake Layout

How does one really know when they are truly addicted to Scrapbooking? Is it when you drool over a gorgeous line of paper like Collage Press, Sweet Shoppe collection and decide right then and there you have to set up a photo shoot to match the yummy paper you want so much to play with? On Saturday, I took Emily out to a funky little cupcake shop and bought her a cupcake and some adorable little, well actually rather large goodie bags, for her birthday party coming up this week. I think the girls will love them. We had fun taking pics of all the beautiful cakes and cupcakes in the store and take a look at that sign....don't ya just love the old fashioned feel to it?! How could anyone really resist scrapping such a fun event with such funky fun papers?! I mean really?!

Cosmo Bella

I just LOVE this stamp! Ok, I love martinis too so I couldn't resist lol. Guess that's why this little cutie appeals to me so much. Great for a girlfriend card no? I used my Copics and Stampin Up papers for this one. Thanks for stopping by :)

Moment of Fame for my two Friends Izzy and Hayley

On Sunday, Izzy and Hayley, along with one of the organizers for Crop for Kids, Mary, helped present a cheque for $21,593.69 to BC Children's Hospital. Sandra, Mary's partner in organizing this wonderful event that I was lucky enough to attend last year was unfortunately not able to make it. It was great seeing Izzy and Hayley on tv! What a great presentation and such a wonderful and worthwhile charity! I'll be attending this year's Crop for Kids again in October. July 13th is when we get to sign up for our classes. I can't wait! Here's a great photo from Izzy's blog of the presentation. Great job ladies!

Basic Grey & Kraft Combo

This is one of those layouts that I played around with for hours. Adding a few elements here, taking away a few there. I really had fun with it. That's what I love about scrapbooking...sometimes your design comes together in a snap and you don't need to add a thing, simple and clean and other times the creative process takes hours. There are no rules except one, it should never be a race. Enjoy the process!

Cosmo Cricket Layouts

Here's a couple layouts I finished up today using the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird line. I love the colours. Had the perfect pics to go with the diecut stickers too. I am so into kits these days! Sure makes scrappin a whole lot easier and I'm getting so many more LOs done!

A few of us from the Scrapaholics have downloaded Skype and what a hoot! We can group chat and scrap from the comfort of our own homes. I don't even have to use a microphone. I just turn my speakers up and it's like we're all in the same room together. Best part....no typing or having to watch the monitor! If you'd like to join us on a Friday or Saturday evening, when you're just hanging out at home, send me an email and we'll make sure to add you to our contact lists. It's a lot fun! We can inspire and motivate each other to, as Hayley would say "Get Our Create On" lol

Scrapaholics Crop

On Sunday we had our monthly crop with the Scrapaholics over at Pick of the Patch. It was a great day. I only got one one page LO done lol but it was a day for swaps and visiting. Now that I'm treasurer for our group, it's a little busier for me as we always do a 50/50 draw, lots of door prizes and at this particular crop, we had to collect not only our monthly crop fee but also our annual membership fee. I didn't bring too much as I knew it was going to be a busy day. Tomorrow night is our Coffee Meetup and we're going to draw the 3 lucky winners who got their membership fees in on time for a free annual membership. It was great seeing everyone again! Here's my LO I got done with the gorgeous kit that Rosa from the Paper Passion put together using We R Memory Keepers Grandma's Kitchen line. I just love this set!

Thanks!

It's been a whirlwind of a week! Emotionally, I've been up and down like a roller coaster! Thank you everyone for all your encouraging words of support and advice. Most of you know already that I've decided to take the plunge and change jobs after almost 17 years. I'm now really looking forward to it and am getting excited for a fresh start. It was such a difficult decision for me. I'm convinced that change is good and my new mantra along with Jo is "Embrace Change". I'll be sad leaving the wonderful people I've become close to behind, but am looking forward to new friendships and challenges ahead!
