Favourite All Time Photo

Do you ever look at a photograph and think to yourself, "this is the best photo I have ever taken"? Honestly, the subject in this photo is what makes it of course. I love the way the light is shining through Emily's hair. I want to make a really special layout with this photo. I truly think it's one of the most beautiful pictures of my little angel. She was only 2 in this photo. Look at those big blue eyes and doze wittle red cheeks!

Cupcake Class

On Saturday, I went to my Super SU! Demo Sue's house for her Cupcake Class. It was so much fun! The large cupcake holds the four adorable cards we made. Of course I had to buy the stamp set and the paper (grin) Aren't these adorable! I love how these all turned out! Thanks for the great class Sue!

My New Punch

Today I tried out my new Martha Stewart butterfly punch. I was over visiting Gabi and saw her lovely card and just had to case it! I love this punch! How can you not love butterflies?!

Time to Scrap!

I created this layout today of my mom's 75th birthday. We celebrated it a few years ago and I just finally got around to scrapping it today. When I saw Sketch #11 over at 52 Sketches, 52 Weeks, I thought it was perfect for the photo of my mom and Emily that I've had posted on my fridge. It deserved a much better home! (I think I might try photographing this again tomorrow in natural light as the colours are a bit wonky under my desk lamp tonight).

Tomorrow I get to go scrap all day with my buddies from the Scrapaholics. I guess I better get packing! lol Thanks for stopping by!

I Feel Like Spring.....Despite this Bizarre Weather!

I was inspired by Penny Black's Saturday Challenge and wanted to submit a card to Elizabeth for Challenge 16 (using polks dots) over at Elzybells so this is what I came up with. I used the little dot in my Tea for Two set to make my polka dots as I wanted the yellows to match the flower. Thanks for visiting!

Mojo Monday Challenge #46

Here's my card for Kristina's challenge. At first I had a little difficulty working with these colours but then once I got the black cardstock laid down everything seemed to come together. I would never have thought to put these colours together myself so I really enjoyed this challenge and like how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by!

Somethin a Little Shabby

I wanted to use some flowers and my Kraft paper so I created this card. I've always loved this SU! Garden Collage hostess set. I use a bit of everything on this card, Twinkling H2Os, Glimmer Mist and my Prisma coloured pencils.

I then decided to make one of the altered bulldog paper clips that I've seen on SCS to photograph it. I had so much fun making this little one, so I made a few more with my paper scraps. They are super easy and super sweet as a little photo holder for a small gift. Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo Monday Challenge #78

I really liked this sketch. I used all SU! supplies except for my new Elzybells stamp. This is such an adorable set! I coloured in my little tea cup with my prisma colouring pencils and then applied some Liquid Glass to make the cup look a little more real and then added a little circle clip just for a bit more texture. Thanks for stopping by!

My Studio

Several people have suggested that I post some pictures of my studio. So, I made a little slide show for you. I spent a good portion last week cleaning and reorganizing and it feels so great to create in here now. I was in a slump, but now that everything is so organized and clean it's really easy to play and keep it that way. I've captioned each photo so you can read where I got some of my organizers if you like. If you have any questions, please let me know. I love colour, and all things pretty and love surrounding myself with lots of visual stimulation and inspiration as you will notice lol. Thanks for stopping by!

Prisma Coloured Pencils

I am having so much fun using my Prisma coloured pencils! Here's another card I designed this afternoon. Eva and Tobi have me so inspired with all their beautiful shading. Check out their gorgeous cards. Both are on the DT for Elzybells and are so very talented! This technique makes Elizabeth's stamps even more adorable than they already are, give it a try! I still love my Copics, but I have to admit, shading is a lot easier with the Prismas and OMS. I need to practice with my Copics. Check out Haley's blog here. She loves her Copics and is creating some beautiful cards! Thanks for stopping by!

I've Added a Guest Book

Please sign my guest book at the bottom of my blog and say Hi. I'd love to hear from you and visit your blog too! Thanks for stopping by.

I'm on a Creative Streak....

Today at Michaels, when I was picking up a few things, I spotted this frame and thought "hmmmm....I think I need that for my desk". I had plans for it as soon as I saw it lol. I added a few embellishments and I love how it turned out. It's a great new addition to my desk. After I embellished my new frame, I had to paint the two flower pots behind it that are holding my tools lol.

A New Technique

So today I got a bee in my bonnet to try using some odorless mineral spirits and Prisma Colour pencils and let me tell you I am now hooked! These blend like Copics when you use the OMS and a blending stump. Here's my first time trying them out on this cute little Elzybells stamp. I definitely need to get some more. There are a few really good brands of coloured pencils, Prisma, Lyra and Faber Castell. I was only able to find the Prismas and Faber Castells at DeSerres but I am drooling over the many shades of the Lyras! Can one really have too many colour mediums to choose from?

Mojo Monday Week 77 Sketch Challenge

Ok, I'm a little late getting started and I'm not too happy with this colour combo, perhaps I'll enter another one but I wanted to make a card before I headed out to Michaels to pick up some items for my Scrapaholic swap coming up next week. This darling little cupcake is from my new Elzybells stamp set that just arrived in the mail last week. I used my copics, SU DSP and cardstock and a little dazzling diamonds for my card. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp Club

Today was Stamp Club at Sue's. Check out the cute little Easter project we made and the fun St. Paddy's day card. This is going to be for my mom as she's the one who gave me my Irish blood. Sue cased the cute St. Paddy's card from here. Isn't he the cutest? I love the colour combo of our first card today....More Mustard and So Saffron. You can see us all in action on my Project 365 blog here. Thanks for a fun day Sue!

Crop for Kids Layout

I was so inspired by Haley's layout from our time at Crop for Kids that I had to pull my photo out and get it scrapped this weekend. It felt so good to get tactile again. I've been doing a lot of digi scrapping with Project 365 and it had been a while since I pulled out my papers and double sided tape! I love this photo of us all and am so looking forward to Crop for Kids this year in October!

Wow! I'm Being Showcased!

Check it out here. Elizabeth is showcasing my card on her site today! How cool is that?! It seems that she's gotten my name mixed up with my email addy though lol. That's ok though, no biggie, just thought I'd mention it in case some of you are wondering lol. It was such a fun surprise to see my card on the top of her post! Thanks so much Elizabeth! I'm glad you liked my card. I love your blog and participating in your challenges!
