What a Weekend!

Today I'm home recovering from my fabulous weekend at Crop for Kids out in Abbotsford. What a blast! Mary and Sandra did another truly outstanding job organizing this event! So many of the Scrapaholics were able to attend this year and it was super exciting because we were a special part of this year's fundraiser. Our group alone donated $1000 to the BC Children's Hospital through our 50/50 draws and Diane's contribution of a gorgeous purple Making Memories tote filled with scrappin goodness that our Scrapaholics bought tickets for. My friend Hayley and I were a part of the Silent Auction and put together a fun package of great Stampin Up goodies for one lucky bidder. We also donated a Stampin Up door prize worth $75.

My roomies Izzy and Jo were great and we had lots of giggles. We scrapped till 1 am both Friday and Saturday and I took a total of 4 classes and bought 2 class kits to do at home. The classes that I took were amazing! I will be posting photos of the finished products soon. I loved meeting Tia Bennett for the first time, an amazing eclectic artist with a fresh and sunny spirit. A special thank you to Chriss Hird, who designed the most beautiful chipboard album that I will "cherish" forever! Jessie, with Cherish the Thought Scrapbooking out in Port Moody taught the class as Chris was unable to attend as her family had come down with the flu. Jessie did a great job and is very sweet and lots of fun.

Jo and Izzy put on a totally original and fun class called the Secret Garden and we made 5 gorgeous cards. I learned tons of new techniques and can't wait to apply them to my pages! Wait till you see these flowers, Prima...look out! You guys ROCK! In total I got 10 hours sleep over the weekend but slept till 11 am today so I'm all caught up and am going to unpack and start playing again! lol

I took another really fun Card Keeper class with Renee Arendt that was lots of fun too.

Thanks to all my Scrapaholic buddies for making this such a fun weekend. We had a great table! I'm especially thrilled for Carrie, Izzy and Jo who won some fabulous prizes but I'll let them tell you all about that. Enjoy the slide show (just click on the + sign to make it move faster. Thanks for stoppin by! And, remember....Laugh, it's good for the soul!
