Three More Layouts
I've been so lucky to have so much scrapping time this summer! I've really been having fun! I can't wait for all the new lines to hit the stores and start playing with them. I'll be going back to work soon though so my scrapping time is going to be significantly reduced. My goal is to still try to get at least one layout done each week.

A Little Different Layout for Me
I usually scrap family photos as you know, but yesterday I felt like doing something different. I printed out these photos of the macro shots I took of the beautiful flowers around my neighbourhood earlier this summer and pulled out some kraft paper and played. This layout is perfect proof of how you can always manage to save a layout when it doesn't initially work out the way you plan. I ended up cutting one of the matts to small by mistake and then as I tried to fix it, it evolved into something better than I'd planned originally lol. The butterflies are punched out from some pretty homemade paper that Emily found for me at Value Village. I have tons so if anyone would like some, let me know and I'll bring some to our next crop. Thanks for stopping by :)

Another Girl Friday Layout
I had fun designing this LO last night. I don't do a lot of sewing on my LOs but I always watch Carrie when she does and she looks so relaxed, like it's never a chore. I gave it a try and it's true! It is relaxing! I think you'll be seeing much more stitches on my layouts now. Thanks for stopping by!
Some Layouts from Friday Night's Crop
Hayley invited me out to join her and Carrie for the Friday Night Crop at Cherish the Thought. I really enjoyed it. I've only attended day crops unless you count Timberline and Crop for Kids. It was nice to get away on a Friday night and spend a relaxing evening scrapping with friends. My August kit arrived from The Paper Passion Friday morning so I couldn't wait to dig into it! I had fun creating a layout of Emily when she was a baby. All her scrapbooks from when she was a baby are completely different from the way I scrap now. I'm pleased with how this one turned out. The other two page layout is from a day this summer when we went berry picking with some friends of ours. Thanks for stopping by!

A Card for my Friend Izzy
I made this card for my friend Izzy who will be celebrating her birthday this week. I used all Stampin Up! products except for the flower. I am loving the new In Colours, especially the Rich Razzleberry and how well it coordinates with Old Olive, my favourite colour!

A Kit from Sonja McLean
Last night I pulled out a kit that Sonja McLean put together for the Crop for Kids last year. I was cleaning out my studio and realized I had not done it yet. I'm definitely going to use the technique of mounting my fabric on paper and then cutting it out again! This is how I did the leaves for the flowers. Gluing the fabric on paper first prevents fraying and makes your design easier to cut out. Thanks for stopping by!

My Cards for My Class
I finished designing the cards for my class I'll be teaching at the Full Throttle Crop on September 26th. You may have seen two of them already. I was waiting for my Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set to arrive so I could finish the set. Since I'll be the Stampin Up! Demonstrator at the crop, I've used all Stampin Up In Colours for these 5 colourful cards. I hope the girls will have as much fun making them as I did! You can read more about this exciting crop here. Hope you'll be able to join us!
Another Fun Evening!
Last night I met up with some of my Scrapaholic buddies to celebrate Izzy's birthday that's coming up. We went to Las Margaritas and had a great time!
Happy 25th Birthday Izzy! ;o)

One Year Already!
It dawned on me last night after reading Carrie's post about a site that allows you to publish your blog into a hardcover keepsake book that I might very well be approaching a year of blogging. Well, to my surprise, I missed my own Blog-a-versary! Happy blog-a-versary to me! lol I can't believe it's already been more than a year! On August 10, 2008 this little blog was born and over the past year I have shared a lot of my projects and my passion for scrapbooking and card making with my family, friends and followers. I've also met some amazingly talented women who truly inspire me! I love blogging! It's fun, it's inspiring and it motivates me to create! To celebrate my first year of blogging, I'm giving away a RAK. Leave a comment with a link to one of your favourite scrapbooking manufacturers and I will draw the lucky winner on Sunday, August 23rd. Thanks for playing!

ABCs of Granville Island Album
I finally finished my ABCs of Granville Island album. I started re-doing it at my crop yesterday, came home and worked on it until about 2 am last night and finished it up this morning. I'm really pleased with how it's turned out. I have to give Diane credit for my inspiration. Her bright and colourful pages convinced me to pull out some of my old stash and get colourful, which when I think about it, is really what Granville Island is....a rainbow of colours! Thanks again Diane for such a fun day! I really enjoyed my photo field trip with you and Michael! You can check out Diane's album here.

Was This Planned?
The Scrapaholic girls got together for our monthly crop today. It was a lot of fun as usual. Hayley took this photo for us as you have to question whether some of us called each other this morning to coordinate our outfits lol I definitely see a layout here, don't you?

Dragonflies and Cherries
I'm still having fun playing with my Femo clay and coming up with whimsical embellies for my scrapbook pages. I had to pick up some new Femo and am trying really hard not to contaminate the colours. Sure makes a big difference! I'm much happier with how these ones turned out. Thanks for stopping by :)
